More explanation on the names of God.
These names denote power, holiness, and the Ultimate, Divine Heavenly Father for all humankind.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the names of God lately. I’ve been praying His names, addressing him for who he is and what he’s promised.
Share with me: By which name are you calling Him today and why?
JEHOVAH-NISSI: “The Lord Our Banner” – More and more I’ve been called to raise His name high above my head and declare Who I live and fight for. As I write my blog and continue pursuing my ministry, I’m being called to stand under His banner and battle for His Kingdom. His name goes before me!
Amen. 🙂
I’ve been doing a study on the names of God lately and posting an exploration of one each week. I love how God is one person with so many facets.
I think I’ve been comforted by El Roi lately: the fact that God sees me and what I’m going through, that my hard work is not in vain, that He has a plan.
This is wonderful! Thanks for sharing the list!
Shalom. It’s something He’s teaching me.

YAHWEH–“Lord”
There’s something so simple, and yet, so wonderfully mighty about that name. It reminds me in the simple moments that He is LORD.
I LOVE that everyone has picked a different one so far. It’s SO cool how He speaks and moves in us in such different ways, yet all at the same time.
I’ve been calling him Jehovah-Rapha, every day and every time the doctors come back with a bad report. They just don’t know how big my God is!
Amen and amen. 🙂
